This page explains how to delete your GodaDev account and the personal data associated with it, however you originally signed up.
Deleting your account from the app
- Open the app on your device.
- Go to the Settings screen (usually via the menu icon or your profile picture).
- Tap “Delete My Account”.
- Confirm when prompted.
Once confirmed, your account is scheduled for deletion and you are logged out automatically.
Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, or you would rather make the request directly, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We will respond within one month, as required under the GDPR.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove:
- your name and email address;
- your profile image;
- any identifier linking your account to a third-party sign-in provider, where you used one;
- any content you uploaded, including audio files, transcriptions, and analysis results;
- your preferences, settings, and usage history.
We never store your password in readable form, and we do not store passwords or private profile details held by any third-party sign-in provider.
Timing and backups
Your data is removed from our live systems promptly. Backup copies are overwritten on a rolling cycle and are fully purged within 90 days.
Where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, for tax or accounting purposes), we retain only what the law requires, for the period it requires, and then delete it.
If your organisation uploaded data about you
If you are an individual whose call recording was uploaded by a company using GodaDev, that company controls the data and decides how long it is kept. Please contact them directly to request deletion. If you contact us instead, we will refer your request to them and support them in responding.
